Contact lenses may seem harmlessly soft and small, but contact lenses cannot be filtered in the sewage system, but a large percentage of users dispose their used lenses incorrectly which add to the global micro-plastic problem. Therefore the best way to control the inflow of contact lenses is at the source.

Combining the app with a collection unit that uses recycled discarded contact lens materials, this project envisions a system of services that encourages people to recycle contact lenses with the aim of mitigating micro-plastic pollution.
