Inspired by a chat about a band, we crafted an electronic instrument that employs mechanical fingers to pluck strings, replacing human touch. This was a fun endeavor, incorporating laser cutting, 3D printing, and various technologies. A heartfelt thanks to the skilled team at Imperial Ace workshop for their invaluable assistance. This project is a testament to our passion and creativity.

Project Documentation

Air Pluck is an innovative musical device that merges the beauty of harp music with advanced technology. It's controlled via hand gestures, each triggering distinct, randomly generated harp melodies.

The device uses a camera for gesture detection, which interfaces with the Wekinator machine learning tool. This setup, in conjunction with Processing software, commands an Arduino to manipulate mechanical fingers for plucking the harp strings. AirPluck embodies a unique, interactive musical experience, showcasing the harmony between traditional music and modern technology.
